Pre-Conference Tour: Walking Tour of Austin

The Diversity Conference is pleased to announce the Conference Tour.

Join other conference delegates and plenary speakers the day before the conference for a walking tour of Austin. Take an afternoon stroll through the streets, alleyways, and iconic historical landmarks of downtown Austin. Lead by an expert tour guide, you will learn about the history and legends of Austin, and get the inside scoop on this eclectic American city.

Conference Welcome Reception

The Diversity Conference is pleased to announce the Conference Welcome Reception.

Common Ground Research Networks and the Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations Conference will be hosting a welcome reception at the University of Texas at Austin—Thompson Conference Center. The reception will be held directly following the last parallel session of the first day, 6 June 2018. Join other conference delegates and plenary speakers for drinks, light hor d'oeuvres, and a chance to converse.

Conference Dinner: Sunset Cruise

The International Conference on Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations is pleased to announce the Conference Dinner.

Join other conference delegates and the plenary speakers for the conference dinner aboard the M.V. Nighthawk cruise ship.

Take in gorgeous views of the Austin skyline at sunset while cruising on beautiful Lady Bird Lake. Dinner will include the Hyatt's famous chicken and steak fajitas (vegetarian option available), drinks, and dessert. One-way transportation will be provided to the boat dock, which is located at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 208 Barton Springs Road. Boarding will begin 15-30 minutes prior to departure.

Once the cruise has concluded, the ship will dock just in time for those interested to view the nightly emergence of the famous South Congress Avenue Bridge bat colony.
